Hello, it's Howard Brown is the shiny Brightly
Howard Brown:podcast show. I get the best guests and this is amazing today
Howard Brown:way to you hear this story. Oh my God, it is shining. And
Howard Brown:that's what I do. So your Maestro with the mic is here.
Howard Brown:And I want to welcome Kevin Rempel, Kevin, how are you?
Howard Brown:Kevin "Remp" Rempel: I'm doing awesome. Howard. Thanks so much
Howard Brown:for having me on my man.
Howard Brown:Yeah, you're up in Canada or Canada in Toronto,
Howard Brown:correct?
Howard Brown:Kevin "Remp" Rempel: That's right, we have yet to get a
Howard Brown:serious snowfall. But that's the land of the cold. Yeah,
Howard Brown:well, I'm in Michigan Land of the cold in the
Howard Brown:lake. So I get it, we get that that window. So it's not here
Howard Brown:yet? Well, let me tell you just a little bit about Kevin because
Howard Brown:we got introduced and I just we are so aligned, and I'm so I'm
Howard Brown:so inspired by him. So he's going to inspire you as well. So
Howard Brown:after being paralysed at age 23. And remember, I got a stage four
Howard Brown:cancer diagnosis at age 23. I'm not supposed to be here, okay.
Howard Brown:And he was paralysed. So Kevin, not only learn how to walk
Howard Brown:again, we've got to hear that story. But to overcome the
Howard Brown:mental and some of the oppression, of living with a
Howard Brown:disability to be able to rebuild your life. And remember, I tell
Howard Brown:people, we all get knocked down in life. The key is to get back
Howard Brown:up again. And Kevin's going to show us how to do that. But he
Howard Brown:did it in such an extraordinary way. So he helped Canada earn
Howard Brown:gold at the 2013 world championships, and a bronze
Howard Brown:medal at the two for 2014 Paralympics Winter Games. Oh my
Howard Brown:god, Kevin, this is incredible. What a story we're waiting to
Howard Brown:hear from it. But before we do that, share something with the
Howard Brown:audience in the listening and the watching group that they may
Howard Brown:not know about you. It's a little dirty secret. They're a
Howard Brown:fun secret.
Howard Brown:Kevin "Remp" Rempel: So I actually, this might be the
Howard Brown:first time sharing this, I would say maybe publicly for social
Howard Brown:media world. I like magic mushrooms. That's something
Howard Brown:that's different. I actually have them tattooed on the inside
Howard Brown:of my elbow as part of my tattoo sleeve. And the short story is
Howard Brown:just that. I was reintroduced to them about three years ago. And
Howard Brown:they've created such impactful transformative moments of my
Howard Brown:life that I'm a big proponent of some of that. So that's
Howard Brown:something that people probably don't know about me.
Howard Brown:Wow that's a good share. Well, I since you did
Howard Brown:that I'm going to share too, but this will maybe people know
Howard Brown:about me as well. I, during all my cancer treatments, I actually
Howard Brown:had a lot of anxiety. And I could I would wake up in the
Howard Brown:middle of the night and just couldn't fall back to sleep. So
Howard Brown:I actually take gummies and THC gummies not CBD that didn't
Howard Brown:work, but just a sliver and maybe a sliver more and get to
Howard Brown:that REM sleep because sleeping is healing. So there's my share.
Howard Brown:So there we go today. So all right, take me into your
Howard Brown:backstory here. How did we, you know before the injury and then
Howard Brown:and take me take me through that.
Howard Brown:Kevin "Remp" Rempel: Yeah, when I was a kid, I did get
Howard Brown:introduced to sticking ball sports, hockey, soccer,
Howard Brown:football, etc. But it never really resonated with me. And
Howard Brown:when I was 10 years old, the neighbour kids down the street
Howard Brown:got dirt bikes, and as soon as I saw the speed, I heard the motor
Howard Brown:and I just was like drawn to them. I fell in love with
Howard Brown:motorcycles. And at that time, this is you know, in the 90s the
Howard Brown:X Games and freestyle motocross was just becoming a sport. I
Howard Brown:started out racing, but was drawn to the stunts. And after a
Howard Brown:couple of years racing realised that wasn't for me, started
Howard Brown:performing some tricks and started a business at the age of
Howard Brown:23. To put on stunt shows, where I cheat like on Canada Day, July
Howard Brown:1 2006. But on my first show, I accomplished all my childhood
Howard Brown:dreams. And then two weeks later on my second show, I ended up
Howard Brown:crashing, and in that accident, I ended up as you just
Howard Brown:mentioned, becoming paralysed and broke my back my pelvis. And
Howard Brown:I was never supposed to walk again. And my life took a
Howard Brown:complete turn.
Howard Brown:I saw the video Kevin, I have to tell you, I I
Howard Brown:held myself I saw that video, it's people will go to your
Howard Brown:website and see that I'll show them but it's incredible that
Howard Brown:you live through that. I mean, it's really incredible. So, I
Howard Brown:mean, you got taken off the course and rushed to the
Howard Brown:hospital, right? Yeah, it was a conscious Were you conscious?
Howard Brown:Kevin "Remp" Rempel: I was conscious. I remember the entire
Howard Brown:the entire day pretty much up until I would say I was loaded
Howard Brown:into the ambulance then it gets a little bit fuzzy. But I
Howard Brown:remember the entire day the whole crash and everything. I
Howard Brown:didn't lose consciousness. And for the viewers and the
Howard Brown:listeners to give you some context. What I was doing that
Howard Brown:day I've done before, like I've jumped that type of a gap and I
Howard Brown:was hitting the ramp for the first On that day, but I wasn't
Howard Brown:mentally focused. I was too worried about the crowd, the
Howard Brown:other riders, the winds blowing ramps a little crooked, and I
Howard Brown:was too scared to speak up and say something. So I hit the ramp
Howard Brown:anyway, not even trying a trick. But because my body position was
Howard Brown:off, I ended up taking off from the rear end came up too high,
Howard Brown:and so split second, I had to make the decision to either stay
Howard Brown:on the bike or jump off the bike. And so I jumped off and
Howard Brown:landed without the motorcycle. But when I was laying on the
Howard Brown:ground, paralysed, I described a scenario of my friend Chris, the
Howard Brown:reason why you saw that footage is he captured the crash on
Howard Brown:film. And as he ran over to grab my hand, and say remps, I love
Howard Brown:you, man. I literally looked at Chris and I said, Chris, you
Howard Brown:better be filming this.
Howard Brown:Which sounds completely ludicrous. Yeah. But in my mind,
Howard Brown:what I was thinking in that moment was that I knew I already
Howard Brown:was picturing my combat. Because the riders that I looked up to,
Howard Brown:that's what they did. When when when you get knocked down, you
Howard Brown:pick yourself back up, because that's just what you do in my
Howard Brown:mind, and action sports. So I knew that I wanted to be just
Howard Brown:like my heroes. And I'm not saying that this wasn't hard.
Howard Brown:Like Howard, I had a knife twisting in my back, it was
Howard Brown:excruciating, sharp pain, I couldn't move, I couldn't
Howard Brown:breathe, and the wind knocked out of my lungs. And I spent
Howard Brown:months and years in rehab and therapy, learning to walk again.
Howard Brown:And we can get into some details about that. But why I bring this
Howard Brown:particular piece up of the story for the listeners, especially
Howard Brown:right now is to ask yourself the question, what do you say to
Howard Brown:yourself when you get knocked down? Some, some people will
Howard Brown:say, it's over, I'm done, I'm finished. Why would I even
Howard Brown:bother continuing to try this is the worst thing that's ever
Howard Brown:happened to me. Or you can say to yourself, This is the
Howard Brown:beginning of the comeback. This is the start of a new chapter.
Howard Brown:Just imagine how great this story will be. When I get
Howard Brown:through this 2-3-4 or five years from now and how proud I will be
Howard Brown:of who I am. So, something I like to do, Howard just like
Howard Brown:you, in addition to inspiring people is what I love to do is
Howard Brown:help people shift their mindset to drive results to embrace
Howard Brown:change. Whether that's in your personal or in your professional
Howard Brown:life. And the questions that we ask ourself and statements that
Howard Brown:we say to ourselves in these moments are what are so key and
Howard Brown:important to help us in my mind become a hero in our own story.
Howard Brown:I just want to pause for a second because you
Howard Brown:wanted to get it first ramps, you know, are you okay? You get
Howard Brown:it on film. And but but you know what, you know, there's risk in
Howard Brown:this. You've seen others crashes, you've crashed yourself
Howard Brown:before, not this severely, of course. And I said to myself,
Howard Brown:listen, I was 23. And I didn't know if I was going to live or
Howard Brown:die. Okay, and I was a deer in the headlights for a while.
Howard Brown:That's the walking in the darkness part. I had to do it.
Howard Brown:But I also had to figure out my way out as well. And so that was
Howard Brown:the start. They always say that your survivorship starts at the
Howard Brown:point of of injury or in my case diagnosis. And in my book, I
Howard Brown:talk about how to put Humpty Dumpty back together again,
Howard Brown:Humpty Dumpty is the nursery rhymes all in a bunch of pieces.
Howard Brown:How do you put each piece by piece together again, and it's
Howard Brown:not usually done in one day? It's done over time. And so take
Howard Brown:take me back, you went to the hospital, and now you're it's
Howard Brown:setting in now. Okay, you got a long road ahead of you. Take
Howard Brown:take me from there.
Howard Brown:Kevin "Remp" Rempel: Yeah, and what a fantastic analogy. By the
Howard Brown:way, Howard, I've actually never heard that before. And it truly
Howard Brown:is piecing everything back together. Especially after you
Howard Brown:have something as significant as being diagnosed with cancer or
Howard Brown:paralysis or, you know, I today work with people who have, you
Howard Brown:know, acquired disability with an amputation, or people that
Howard Brown:are going through transitions have like, maybe your
Howard Brown:relationship exploded, and all of a sudden, you got to start
Howard Brown:over. It's like, you got to piece it all back together
Howard Brown:again. That's right. So when I was, you know, to paint a
Howard Brown:picture of what that was, like, excuse me, to paint a picture of
Howard Brown:what that was like after I acquired my spinal cord injury.
Howard Brown:You know, in the beginning, laying in the hospital bed, you
Howard Brown:know, you're just trying to sit up, you're trying to sit up
Howard Brown:straight in bed and not be in pain. I mean, when I talk about
Howard Brown:like baby steps, and I talk about in my keep my keynote for
Howard Brown:corporate, especially who are looking for a keynote speaker I
Howard Brown:and I share the hero mindset I talk about learning to walk
Howard Brown:again was literally one toe at a time. I was in bed, advised by
Howard Brown:my therapist, Chris just tried to wiggle my toes. And in the
Howard Brown:beginning there was no nothing happened. Like you're staring at
Howard Brown:your feet. And you feel, you start asking yourself again, the
Howard Brown:question is, why am I doing this? Is it even worth it? Is it
Howard Brown:gonna work? Does it even matter? But he told me he's like you
Howard Brown:just have to try. And what I learned because after about six
Howard Brown:weeks, I got my first total move. What I then said to myself
Howard Brown:is if I can get one toe, one more toe to move, that I bet
Howard Brown:you, I can get another toe. And I got my first toe around the
Howard Brown:six week mark. And then I got my second toe, about a week later.
Howard Brown:And then I got three more toes and another couple toes and
Howard Brown:ankle and ankle and slowly but surely I was back on my feet.
Howard Brown:But when we're striving to achieve something that may seem
Howard Brown:impossible, like piecing your life back together, it truly is
Howard Brown:just those small critical pieces where you might just have to
Howard Brown:learn how to like get out of bed in the morning, I had to fight
Howard Brown:myself just to get into the wheelchair for weeks. And once
Howard Brown:you do that, then it's starting to figure out like, you know,
Howard Brown:what's the mess I got to clean up in terms of maybe it's like
Howard Brown:paperwork, like I didn't like the legal side, the medication
Howard Brown:side, the hospital side, you know, where am I going to live,
Howard Brown:what's going on with my career, I had to go through all of that
Howard Brown:stuff as well. And in my case, with the surgery, I also had for
Howard Brown:years, I also felt like a guinea pig because I had to keep trying
Howard Brown:different medication. So it's like try this for helping
Howard Brown:because your bowel and bladder is affected once you have a
Howard Brown:spinal cord injury. It's like my bowel and bladder didn't work.
Howard Brown:So then you're on suppositories, then you're on stool softeners
Howard Brown:then you gotta like take nerve pain medication, then there's a
Howard Brown:side effects, you got to take something for that. And it's
Howard Brown:like, you just feel like a punching bag. So when I show up
Howard Brown:here on this podcast with you, Howard, like with enthusiasm, I
Howard Brown:realise, in hindsight, sometimes I gotta, like, bring people back
Howard Brown:to like, what you see today was not, I haven't always been like
Howard Brown:this, I I've been depressed, I've been suicidal, I've called
Howard Brown:the suicide hotline three times in my life. I had days where I
Howard Brown:would pull the sheets over my head and cry under the covers.
Howard Brown:Because my leg spasms for the nerve pain were just so intense.
Howard Brown:Like I couldn't do it. I didn't feel like I could do anything. I
Howard Brown:contemplated whether I was going to find a relationship or find
Howard Brown:love again, or if I would be employed, like it was, it was
Howard Brown:difficult. But just like you describe is piecing it together
Howard Brown:one small step at a time. And so when change happens, here's
Howard Brown:here's a message again for for everyone, when change happens.
Howard Brown:Even as I've been helping coach other people recently, a
Howard Brown:metaphor to imagine is that when your expectations do not meet
Howard Brown:you meet your reality. That's where you experienced
Howard Brown:disappointment. So if you keep thinking that you should be at a
Howard Brown:certain destination, the near you're not at yet. And your
Howard Brown:expectations are beyond where you are today. Ask yourself how
Howard Brown:can I start to focus on what is not what once was or what will
Howard Brown:be there's a time and a place to have our mind focus on creating
Howard Brown:a vision. But when you're going through change, often we may
Howard Brown:just need to bring ourselves back to the present moment and
Howard Brown:focus on what do we need to deal with in this exact moment to
Howard Brown:help us move ahead, not just one step. But as I mentioned one toe
Howard Brown:at a time.
Howard Brown:I got it I gotta I want to just comment on that and
Howard Brown:I wrote it down. Your comeback began with that one toe wiggle.
Howard Brown:It's amazing. And the second thing I want to come at because
Howard Brown:it'd be just getting out of bed for me was the dog out a walk
Howard Brown:and I went one step two step then further, it didn't happen
Howard Brown:overnight. It's over a period of time and it's multifaceted. It's
Howard Brown:the mental well being we call that the Mental Toughness it's
Howard Brown:the physical well being then you're worried about financial
Howard Brown:and you're worried about relationships. So that's the
Howard Brown:enormity of it. And we have something in the cancer world
Howard Brown:where we actually it says you will look great and then we have
Howard Brown:a big butt and then all the indivisible stuff all the stuff
Howard Brown:that no one saw the hardship the workout at the gym, the side
Howard Brown:effects that meet puking at the bathroom right me freaking out
Howard Brown:in the middle of night, you know on steroids, right? So they
Howard Brown:don't see that. But we actually have and again, you can use the
Howard Brown:Humpty Dumpty all you want in your keynotes that we share
Howard Brown:right? We're We're Brothers And speaking motivational speakers,
Howard Brown:oh and coaches. So please share that piecing it together and the
Howard Brown:Humpty Dumpty, but we have something in the cancer world
Howard Brown:that you might actually take on as well. We have something
Howard Brown:called k f, g. All right, and this is a clean show, so it's
Howard Brown:keep effing going. K f g is the cancer mantra. We don't have any
Howard Brown:choice. We don't I mean, you could just stay in bed and
Howard Brown:become depressed and all bad things happen, right? Or you can
Howard Brown:stay in that dead darkness, k, f, g, keep everything going. And
Howard Brown:that's what you got to do to get and move forward. And sometimes
Howard Brown:it's steps back Got a step sideways. And sometimes it's
Howard Brown:five steps forward, and you got to really appreciate that. So
Howard Brown:that toe wiggle is a big moment. And I love it from that,
Howard Brown:alright, get to get to some of the good stuff there that you're
Howard Brown:rehabilitating, you're getting there. And you're getting to
Howard Brown:become a championship athlete. This is the I'm just like,
Howard Brown:amazed by this. So tell me how you got there.
Howard Brown:Kevin "Remp" Rempel: So when I got injured, here's another
Howard Brown:another, I'm always going to try to drop some like nuggets of
Howard Brown:lessons and wisdom as such. Sure. So another lesson that
Howard Brown:I've learned I'd love to share with others is that when change
Howard Brown:happens, it's often preparing you for something greater that
Howard Brown:you just cannot see yet. So when I got injured, I actually spent
Howard Brown:two years working to rehabilitate myself in my life
Howard Brown:before I even discovered that the Paralympics existed. In that
Howard Brown:time, I had to keep pushing forward, believing that there is
Howard Brown:something worth putting in this effort for of course, it's our
Howard Brown:life. And we don't know when that tipping point of that next
Howard Brown:thing that we can start to set our sights on will appear. So I
Howard Brown:was at wheelchair basketball, just volunteering and another
Howard Brown:kid, I was still in the wheelchair at this time. Another
Howard Brown:kid also named Kevin, also with a spinal cord injury in a
Howard Brown:wheelchair rolls up beside me. And he's like, Hey, have you
Howard Brown:ever heard of sledge hockey before? And I'm like, No, what's
Howard Brown:that? He goes, it's real sick. You get to hit people with
Howard Brown:disabilities. What are you talking about? Dude, that sounds
Howard Brown:so wrong, then like, where do I sign up. But it it literally
Howard Brown:just like changed my life because all of a sudden, I had
Howard Brown:something to look forward to. I had a goal to strive for. I had
Howard Brown:a community that I could immerse myself in who everyone was going
Howard Brown:through some kind of their own challenge. And all of a sudden
Howard Brown:you feel not alone, not just yourself. But it's also for the
Howard Brown:family like the parents because the parents have to navigate the
Howard Brown:change just as much as the children do in many cases. So I
Howard Brown:didn't know the Paralympics, I still didn't even know Team
Howard Brown:Canada existed. All I knew is that the sport existed. So I
Howard Brown:started playing at a local level my first year. And true story it
Howard Brown:was around I don't know how many weeks after I started playing
Howard Brown:recreationally. This one of these friends in the in the
Howard Brown:disabled community sent me a video of Team Canada winning
Howard Brown:gold in 2006 at the Paralympics and sledge hockey. And I was
Howard Brown:literally like 2am Drinking a beer watching YouTube and my
Howard Brown:Paralympic dream was born at the age of 28 years old. So I played
Howard Brown:on the provincial team the next year, then joined Team Canada
Howard Brown:after the 2010 Paralympics, and I played five years, as you
Howard Brown:mentioned, helped win a number of medals, but particularly 2013
Howard Brown:Gold World Championships and bronze in the 2014 Paralympic
Howard Brown:bronze medals Paralympics in Sochi, Russia.
Unknown:So I gotta tell you, though, I you and I are so we
Unknown:just taken different paths, but a lot of same experience. So I
Unknown:tell people to find their happy place. My happy places the
Unknown:basketball court, right. So I've been a basketball player. Since
Unknown:age six. I played college basketball, I was all based at
Unknown:league in Boston outside of Boston and growing up.
Unknown:Basketball is my place where I feel a stress free zone. So I
Unknown:will tell you, I did stuff and I broke all the rules after
Unknown:chemotherapy after surgeries. Imagine playing basketball with
Unknown:a chemo port. Okay, that chemo port is in underneath your
Unknown:clavicle going to your vena cava that gets pulled out basketball
Unknown:is a contact sport that can I would bleed out in the court and
Unknown:it's the risk I took. Now after seven half years. I just got my
Unknown:chemo poured out. I actually have it. But I had to do that I
Unknown:had to push myself. And now you know, listen, I'm 57 I'm so
Unknown:perfectly two hours last night I was knocking down threes. I had
Unknown:three threes in the game to 12. That doesn't happen that often.
Unknown:But that's my place and you found your place. I gotta ask
Unknown:this because I probably will never finish a marathon or run a
Unknown:marathon. I probably will not have a gold medal dripped on my
Unknown:what does that feel like?
Unknown:Kevin "Remp" Rempel: It feels amazing. And I'll elaborate on
Unknown:that. But you brought up something really special
Unknown:important that I want to expand please do please do. So in terms
Unknown:of the metal and competing, it was a full circle moment. You
Unknown:know being on the world stage see my mom and my grandma, my
Unknown:sister up in the stands. It brought that feeling that
Unknown:everything you'd been through was worth it. The lesson here
Unknown:the message that you just reminded me about that I really
Unknown:want to enforce for people is that you need to strive to
Unknown:become an Olympian or a Paralympian to have your own
Unknown:podium. Like my question for you the audience anyone listening
Unknown:watching is what what what is your podium So your podium might
Unknown:be raise a great family, your podium might be become the best
Unknown:parent I can be your podium might be good no financial debt,
Unknown:your podium might be getting get in physical shape. Your podium
Unknown:might be stop living under your parents roof and live
Unknown:independently and go out on your own and pursue the career and
Unknown:live in the city, the province or the state, the country that
Unknown:you really want to live in.
Unknown:So each of us have a podium. But in pursuit of that podium, ask
Unknown:yourself next, like, where do you stop? When I, when my dream
Unknown:of riding freestyle motocross was over, what I knew is that I
Unknown:didn't know necessarily what that next podium was going to
Unknown:look like. But I knew I wanted to keep fighting to not let go
Unknown:of the commitment that I made to myself, when I started that
Unknown:business was that I'm going to become an entrepreneur, I'm
Unknown:going to create the life that I want to live. And I'm not going
Unknown:to stop doing that until I figure it out. And I'm still in
Unknown:that process today. But every one of us has a podium. And what
Unknown:I can share with you because I've lived it is that once you
Unknown:reach that podium, literally or metaphorically, once in your
Unknown:life, once you've done it once, just like I told top spoke about
Unknown:wiggling your toes. If you've done it once, you can do it
Unknown:again. And I have reached a podium in motorcross, a recent
Unknown:podium and learning to walk in I've reached a podium and
Unknown:recovering from depression and mental health. I reached a
Unknown:podium in the Paralympics, I reached a podium in my keynote
Unknown:speaking, and there's these podiums that we can keep
Unknown:striving for in our life. But ask yourself, what do you say to
Unknown:yourself when you get knocked down? Where do you stop along
Unknown:the way? And what do you want your story to be?
Howard Brown:It's strong, that's powerful. I love the
Howard Brown:podium analogy. It's amazing. I want to transition just a second
Howard Brown:because, you know, I wake up every day and I look in the
Howard Brown:mirror and I do this every day. This is my this is what I do. I
Howard Brown:look in the mirror and I say, I am blessed. I am grateful. I am
Howard Brown:lucky and who can I help today. And this is what I want you to
Howard Brown:kind of dovetail into. You help people you're coaching, please
Howard Brown:go tell me about your programme and tell me how you're helping
Howard Brown:people. And that's what I admire, because you're taking
Howard Brown:all this lessons, all this knowledge, all this experience,
Howard Brown:and you're pouring it into others take me through there.
Howard Brown:Kevin "Remp" Rempel: Thanks, Howard. I just recently I've
Howard Brown:started coaching, both individually and through group
Howard Brown:group coaching. And so as I've mentioned my keynote titled The
Howard Brown:Hero mindset. Over the years, I've assembled a framework
Howard Brown:called the hero mindset blueprint, which is the steps
Howard Brown:I've lived myself to get myself to reach all these different
Howard Brown:podiums. And I have a group called the hero tribe and the
Howard Brown:hero tribe is a community of people who are navigating a
Howard Brown:career or life transition. And in that community, I help people
Howard Brown:like I mentioned, whether it's navigate, you know, maybe it's a
Howard Brown:job, maybe the job, maybe they were let go from their job, or
Howard Brown:they want to make a change, maybe same thing in a
Howard Brown:relationship, something's happened, or they know that they
Howard Brown:need to make a change. It might be as I mentioned, they have
Howard Brown:acquired a disability, people that I'm helping right now those
Howard Brown:who have acquired a spinal cord injury or become an amputee, or
Howard Brown:maybe you've got an illness or you're depressed, and you want
Howard Brown:to get yourself out of that. I've navigated those spaces
Howard Brown:myself. So I've always found in my life journey, I've had these
Howard Brown:one on one conversations, or in a group setting, like maybe it's
Howard Brown:a locker room or on a tailgate with a bunch of friends, helping
Howard Brown:people figure these situations out. And I've delivered keynotes
Howard Brown:for about 15 years, though a keynote over time has become a
Howard Brown:bit of a like a one and done. It's like I want to continue to
Howard Brown:work with organisations on going. But after you leave the
Howard Brown:stage, what happens to the audience, like they go to live
Howard Brown:their life, and I want to help people, not just, I don't want
Howard Brown:to just help inspire people, but I want to help them through that
Howard Brown:transition that they need to make. And so if someone who's
Howard Brown:hearing watching this right now is seeking support, for someone
Howard Brown:to help, you know, maybe hold your hand a little bit to kind
Howard Brown:of just show you the pathway and encourage you get those mental
Howard Brown:blocks shifted, of how we show up and get in getting in our own
Howard Brown:way. What I like to do is help people navigate, change,
Howard Brown:navigate transition. And by doing so again, that's how you
Howard Brown:show up and become that hero in your own story. It's
Howard Brown:just awesome. And when we're gonna give,
Howard Brown:everyone's gonna have all the contact information. But we're
Howard Brown:gonna do that right now. So you haven't, I'm putting on my
Howard Brown:sunglasses. For those who are just listening and not watching
Howard Brown:that white metallic sunglasses are shining brightly on you tell
Howard Brown:people how to get a hold of you. I know you have a little gift
Howard Brown:for folks to workbook or something. And then give me
Howard Brown:leave me with a story or a chord of inspiration please, for sure.
Howard Brown:Kevin "Remp" Rempel: So the best way to get in touch with me if
Howard Brown:you're interested in keynote speaking, or if you want to
Howard Brown:download a free copy of my book that I've written, especially if
Howard Brown:you're someone who is navigate didn't change my website, Kevin

Howard Brown:interested in some coaching support the best, fastest way is
Howard Brown:just go to Instagram. Just look up Kevin Rempel everything's

Howard Brown:Instagram. You can also find links to my website and my book
Howard Brown:there. But just DM me the word coach, and I'd love to have a
Howard Brown:chat with you. The final like message that I would just
Howard Brown:reiterate to leave everyone to reflect upon here, when you're
Howard Brown:navigating change is to just ask yourself that question. What do
Howard Brown:you want your story to be? Every single day, we have an
Howard Brown:opportunity to begin a new chapter to write a new script.
Howard Brown:And how we choose to think in these moments of transition
Howard Brown:determines what that story is going to be. So I like thinking
Howard Brown:about what my heroes have done and that's inspired me to become
Howard Brown:a hero in my own story. And I want you the viewer listener,
Howard Brown:every one of us to become a hero in our own story. So when you're
Howard Brown:going through transition, ask yourself that question. What do
Howard Brown:you want your story to be?
Howard Brown:I love it.
